CCZ Emerald - Stylish Single DD + BA HIFI IEM
Recently, KEEPHIFI provided me with a pair of CCZ Emerald and a pair of CCZ Coffee Bean, so here is my quick review and comparison between these two pairs of budget IEMs.
Pros:
- Lightweight Design
- Comfortable and fits perfectly
- Good overall sound performance
Cons:
- Slightly lacks bass
-Feels cheap in hands
CCZ Emerald is a pair of budget-friendly hybrid IEM which comes with one 10mm dual magnetic dynamic driver & one 30095 medium to high frequency sounding Balanced Armature on each unit.
Design
CCZ Emerald units comes with UV-Curing PC Cavity with stylish metal glossy green color which obviously resembles an emerald. It also comes with a 4N OFC cable and 3 pairs of CCZ exclusively patented eartips for enhancing details and soundstage production and reduce sound loss. Its outer design is almost similar to CCZ Coffee Bean.
Comfort
It comes with a CCZ exclusively patented, uniquely designed earfin for comfortable wearing. Due to its lightweight design, I was able to wear this pair of IEM for long periods of time without causing pain on my ears.
Performance
Overall, CCZ Emerald also has a typical V-shaped sound signature. It produces fairly warm sound and is smooth and relaxing. Sealing and sound isolation is pretty good. Its bass production has volume but is lower than CCZ Coffee Bean, treble is clear and bright. It produce clear mid vocals but slightly lacking details, its high is smooth and not irritating. Soundstage is good, sound separation is excellent, sound resolution is definitely stronger than that of Coffee Bean due to its mid-high frequency BA.
Comparison
As compared to CCZ Coffee Bean, it has almost similar sound performance, only slightly lacks bass, but the higher sound resolution will compensate for it.
Conclusion
CCZ Emerald is stylish, comfortable, nicely tuned and is affordable at price of around $25. I would highly recommend this to those who are on a budget but yet would like a pair of good performing and stylish IEM.Purchase Link
